Your Valve Controller is unresponsive if:
1. Pressing the grey button on your unit does not open/close your valve
2. Pressing and holding the grey button does not result in the unit beeping
3. Power cycling (unplug/plug it back in while its battery backup is removed) the Controller does not change its unresponsive status
