To install the Guardian Battery Backup, please follow below steps:
1. Unplug the valve controller from the outlet
2. Open the battery compartment by sliding the battery compartment cover off
3. Insert the battery in the battery compartment
4. Re-install battery the battery compartment cover. If you can’t close the cover, make sure you have inserted the battery all the way in.
5. Plug the Valve Controller back into the outlet
